What Were the Blue Highways?
“On the old highway maps of America, the main routes were red and the back roads blue. Now even the colors are changing. But in those brevities just before dawn and a little after dusk – times neither day nor night – the old roads return to the sky some of its color. Then, in truth, they carry a mysterious cast of blue, and it’s that time when the pull of the blue highway is strongest, when the open road is a beckoning, a strangeness, a place where a man can lose himself.”

What is the Blue Highway Motorcycle Lodge?
It’s a getaway for the motorcycle enthusiast, created and operated by motorcycle enthusiasts, offering a unique combination of upscale lodging and a camping experience. The mix of a private fire pit, picnic table and grill in the woods with a whirlpool tub, king size bed and fireplace in the cottage all will make for a memorable vacation or weekend escape. There are six cottages, each sleeps 2 adults.
The “club house” offers a place for groups to gather at the end of the day. There are 2 large grills, picnic tables, camp chairs, a custom cooler and all the supplies needed to prepare a meal in this covered pavilion. A large fire pit (with all wood provided) compliments this wonderful spot in the woods for friends to gather, eat and tell tells of the road.
There is also an easy walking trail through our quiet woods, populated with a few “surprises”.
